Next week the Universal Church will commemorate two great events that happened in the past.
In fact on Tuesday 16th October we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the papal election of Karol Wojtyla as Pope John Paul II. He is remembered for being a great pope, a great spiritual shepherd and the creator of “Divine Mercy Sunday”.
The day after, Wednesday 17th October, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Albino Luciani, elected pope as John Paul I. Born Albino Luciani, he was the cardinal of Venice, Italy, when he was elected on August 26, 1978, to succeed Pope Paul VI. As John Paul I he served just over a month, dying September 28. He is considered as a great shepherd, and a Prophet of humility.
Whilst these dates remain as declared, SERVIZIOPETRINO will commemorate these two great shepherds with special reports in this weekend.
